Boy-Adrian van Gelderen

How it all started…

From soccer player to European Champion

born on May 8th 1996 in Malle, Belgium. At first, Boy enjoyed soccer and tennis and later he did some horseback riding at the stables in Kalmthout. When he got so busy with all the sports activities, his father asked him to choose which sport he would most like to do. The answer from Boy was a bit surprising, he had chosen for horse riding, what he least controlled at that time. He got a pony from his father, whose name was Boots, some time later Boy got 2 more ponies named Joly’s Alex & Eeling Midnight. He rode mainly recreational and took part in national competitions of the LRV. In his ‘pony-time’ Boy was supervised daily by Michel Verbeeck, who taught him the basics and learned him how to sit on a horse. Soon it became very clear that he was very passionate and really wanted to continue in the horses, to accomplish this, his parents bought him a private stable in 2008, where Boy could train peacefully. In the year 2008, Boy increasingly started riding competitions. Soon more and more horses joined our stables.
